Feb. 15 – Certified Wood: The New Rules

Presented by: Richard Moore, AIA, LEED BD+C, Richard Moore Environmental Consulting The new rules under LEED v3.0 will challenge any good specifier. There are many new wood products that have assembly components that consist of non-FSC wood, recycled wood, reclaimed wood and wood veneers eg interior wood doors, wood paneled ceilings and wood flooring systems. How do you specify all these sections to meet the minimum of 50% (based on cost) to achieve the credit? What happens if the client wants to meet the 100% goal- are all products available in FSC wood? Learning Objectives: *What products qualify for credit? *What the FSC classifications mean? *How to specify the 50% & 100% goals *How to fill-out the template
